Sumbe Health Clinic

This event has been organized as part of our fund raising efforts to support the Sumbe Health Clinic in Cameroon. Cameroon is a country in West-Central Africa. Sometimes referred to as "Africa in miniature", Cameroon has mountains, savannas, rain forests, and beautiful ocean beaches. It also has struggles in providing adequate medical care for its diverse population. The Sumbe Health Clinic serves a remote area, and with our help, will extend its outreach.

Our goal is to raise funds to help the Clinic purchase a new motorcycle. This will enable their nurse to more easily reach patients who can not come to the Clinic. It will also make it much easier for him to make the 100 mile trip required to pick up medications and other supplies.

The actual motorcycle purchased for the Clinic may differ from the one illustrated here, however it will most likely be of Chinese manufacture. The Chinese have flooded the market with relatively inexpensive bikes, which are nonetheless extremely expense for the Cameroonians.
